Dear residents,

As I am no longer in the committee, it is not proper for me to post anything which may deemed to be offensive to the new committee. The question posted by the anom is a little impolite. He sounded like I owe him something for not posting anything.

Give a chance to the new committee to perform. For your info, I am now the JMC Chairman for PV10. We have a blog which you can access at http://jmbpv10.wordpress.com/ . Actually, we also manage an exclusive website which is called the Highrise , http://highrise.my/tour whereby you are able to make a complaint or to propose something to the management in the comfort of your home.

This could be my last posting. I am still concerned about Prima and want to do the best for it. But unfortunately, different people have different expectation. It is time to forgive and forget for the sake of Setapak Prima Condo which is still my home. Life goes on.

THE TRANSFORMER

What is the latest on the transformer?. It looks like the only issue that concerns Prima is the transformer. What about other issues like the account? No one knows whether the sinking fund has been transferred to the JMB account. There is no account on the receipts and payments put up on the notice board. We need to know what we are paying for. The only notices that you see concern only the transformer as if there are no other issues for Prima. The JMC should practise they preached during the AGM that is transparency and accountability

Thank you and have a nice day

BAD publicity on the transformer

If the AD Hoc Committee persists in giving the transformer a wide publicity, I am worried that it may affect the value of our properties. In my opinion, these people are fighting a losing battle. I did a bit of research on the internet trying to find some info on the relationship between the transformer and its environment. The only thing that I found that these transformers are emitting electro magnetic fields of which the hazards pose to human are not proven. You can check the link here.

Anothing thing from the notice board caught my attention. All the notices put up by the Ad Hoc Committee had been taken down. I really don' t know what is happening between the two parties. I was given the impression that the ad hoc committee has the strong support of the JMC. The JMC should start to concentrate on the management of our properties.

Latest on the transformer story

The ad hoc committee are taking their tasks seriously. According to a letter to the JMC, they wanted the JMB to hold a full JMB meeting to pass a resolution to order TNB to shut down the transformer due to the violation of the house rules. The letter sounded like an ultimatum to the JMB. What the ADH failed to realize is that TNB is not a resident. Only the residents are governed by the house rules. I wonder how many residents are really bothered with the transformer. For many, they don't even know what a transformer is and where it is.

There was another funny notice put up by the Ad Hoc Committee. The notice mentioned that they have nothing to report to the residents because none of the committee members including the chairman from the JMC turned up for the meeting. I wonder what is the Ad hoc C's rationale for informing the residents that the JMC failed to hold the meeting. It seemed like a slap on the JMB's face. I also wonder why the JMC allowed the Ad Hoc Committe to put up the notice on the board. The notice also seemed to imply that the JMC did not agree with the action taken the ADHC members.

On my part, I am not unduly concerned by this transformer thing . I am more concerned with the accounts and the deplorable condition of Prima.

The latest on the transformer.

I read on the notice board on the latest actions taken by the adhoc committee led by Mr Adam against the installation of the transformer at Prima. They had made a request to the JMB to order TNB to shut down the transformer based on the house rules of Prima Setapak They wanted the JMB to order TNB to shut it down due to noise pollution ( humming sound ). They wanted the JMB to order TNB to shut it down due to the increase in insurance premium incurred. If all things fail, they wanted the JMB to get a court injunction ( who is going to pay for the cost ) to shut it down. The JMC will have a heavy responsibility to carry out all those requests. I wonder how far the ad hoc committee is willing to go to fight TNB.

An interesting item caught my attention in the notice. The committee praised the malay old man who claimed that he fell sick from day one when he moved into Prima for speaking up during the dialogue session. I wonder whether he was praised for speaking up against the installation of the card access security system or the transformer.

Correct me if I am wrong. If I am not mistaken, the transformer was installed after the setting up of JMB. The on going job to install the transformer took more than two weeks. I saw some workers doing something at the place. I made an enquiry from the workers and I was told they were installing something. The issue here is why didn't anybody do anything about it then. Before anybody wants to do anything at Prima, the relevant company must get the consent of the management. The management would have to get the clearance from the JMC. The committee members from JMC should have known about it. The chairman of the adhoc committee who is also a committee member of the JMC should have known about it unless they do not know what is happening at Prima. Actions should have been taken then. Why now? I should kow tow to the ad hoc committee if they manage stop TNB to relocate the transformer.

Goodnight and have a nice day.

Decision on the nah tok

Does anybody know the decision on the nah tok whether to go ahead or to abolish it. I haven't seen any activities around Prima. I guess the JMB must have abandoned the idea of building the nah tok. It is a wise decision to do so.

It's time they pay some attention to the places that requires their attention. The gym is in a bad condition. The lift lobbies need a new coat of paint. The plants on the 3rd floor are not very healthy. It is in need of better landscaping. Area at the guardhouse and the area around gr floor lift lobbies at Block B and C need to be brightened up. The car park also needs to be brightened up.

Dialogue with our MP YB Wee Choo Keong

The ad hoc committee invited YB to attend the talk on the installation of the transformer when they failed to invite the manager from the developer and the manager from TNB to explain why the transformer was installed on our property.

I attended the talk. When I reached the hall, the retired old man who took me down was so happy to see me. He extended his warm wellcome to me and aprreciated my support for them. I guess it's time to bury the hatchet. I posed a couple of questions to our MP. I asked him what gave the TNB the right to install the transformer at our place which is used to supply electricity to other places. The MP replied that this is an agreement between the developer and TNB . According to the MP this was a requirement imposed on the developer. It's like the developer was held to ransom. You allow us to build it or else there will be no electricity supply. Our actual concerns for the issuue is is our safety. Does the transformer pose a danger to our health? Will it explode? Are we being exposed to any form of radiation or microwave? The MP promised to get the answers for us and he further assured us that he will raise the matter in the parliment. He will also try to get an undertaking letter from TNB to assure us that the thing is safe. He encouraged the ad hoc committee to try get as many signatures as possible .

I wish to relate an interesting story told by an old malay man from Block B. He said that from day when he moved into Prima, he faced many problems. He had been sick every day. Before he moved in, he was a very successful businessman. He blamed his condition on the transformer. I felt like telling him that the transformer was only installed in 2008. What piss me off when he swayed into another topic. He asked what place is this? Wherever he goes, he has to use the card. The students do not have to use the cards but the owners have to use the cards. He further mentioned that we had wasted RM 300 000 to build the card access system. I felt like telling him off but changed my mind knowing that this is not the right forum to so. I guess at Prima ,the issue on the card will never die off. Someone from somewhere will keep harping on the issue to keep me at bay.

Good night and have a nice day.
