Meeting at the housing ministry

We were supposed to have a meeting with the developer at the housing ministry yesterday. The chairman and I and five other committee members attended the meeting. Mr Lim, the assistant to YB Yew Teong Look, a member of parliment for Wangsa Maju also attended the meeting. The developer was represented Mr Robert, an assistant facilities manager for UOA. The meeting was called by the Pengarah of Enforcement due to the complaints made by us which were not resolved by the developer. The issues that we were going to raise were matters pertaining to the audited accounts and the setting up of JMB. The audited accounts for 2005 and 2006 were not given to us although we had made a written request to the developer. We had no choice but to make a complaint to the housing ministry.

Before the meeting started, I asked whether Mr Robert is able to make decisions for the developer. He was put in a difficult position. From his facial expression, we knew that he was only a scapegoat sent by the developer. Obviously, he was not able to give us any answers to questions raised on certain items in the account. The pengarah was very annoyed. Poor Mr Robert was given a tongue lashing and was told that he may blacklist the company should they not take the meeting seriously. We also voiced our dissatisfactions with the attitude of the developer. The pengarah had no choice but to call off the meeting. I was very angry too because I had take a day leave to attend this meeting. The next meeting will be held on the 14th December. I really look forward to attend the next meeting which fortunately, will be held during the school holidays.

Goodnight and have a nice day!
