Measures taken to control the walk-in visitors and the residents.

I like what I saw at the guardhouse. There would be only one exit and entry point for the residents and the visitors now. It is a little narrow and there may a little congestion at dinner time but we should be able to bear with this little inconvenience. There are bound to be some grouses from the residents but then, our priority is the security of Prima. It may take the residents awhile to adapt to the new procedure. The guards will definitely be able to control the walk-in visitors better through one entry and exit point . I saw that a table ( should get a better quality one ) has been placed at the guardhouse for registration purposes. Hopefully, this will be a permanent feature.
The management has considered some of the recommendations made by the R.A. This is what I called a win win situation for both parties. Should we have taken a confrontation stand, there would be a lose lose situation. The point that I would like to make is that the management is listening to us. For some other condos, the R.A. would have been just brushed aside. This is the first step towards the enhancement of the security. When the card access system is in place, we would definitely be able to sleep better. I am still waitng for the quotation from the management. Any comments out there regarding the change at the guardhouse? Any constructive comments are welcome.

Goodnight and have a nice day.

Excellent!!
The management has taken the necessary precaution measurement to prevent the break-in case from increasing. This is indeed a good sign for all the resident in prima. However, as I said in my previous blogged, every implementation will always follow by positive as well as negative impact. With current implementation no doubt we have narrowed down the possibility of unwanted 'visitors' enter prima. We have a more controlled in/out access point for tresspasser. It is indeed good to get every tresspasser logged in the logged book. Unfortunately, I do not see the connection/relation between the break-in and logged book. In other word, those unwanted 'visitors' can still passed the checkpoint by providing their particulars in the logged book (questionable on the genuinity of their particulars). For my opinion, there are 2 major concerns:

1. The tracibility of the logged book. How can we tell from the logged records which are resident records and which are not? If we can't clearly identify the logged records, then no way we can tell from the logged book who would be the suspect if any break-in case happen.

2. Lack of immediate identification at checkpoint. Indeed the guard managed to logged all the tresspassers at the checkpoint efficiently but they can't effectively stop the unwanted 'visitor' from passing the checkpoint. In short, it is efficient but not effective. They can't tell immediately at the checkpoint whether the tresspasser is a genuine resident or visitor.

These are my concerns which might not be correct. So, please correct me if i'm wrong. But, please do consider the above concerns if i'm right.

Thanks.

The precaution taken by the management was excellent.. BUT please bare in mind that there are possibility is an inside job.. it is our turn to do our responsibility as the management has do been doing theirs..

What if the thief get pass the security guard(they are not stupid either)?? then the game of blaming begin.. so prevention is better than sorry..try to get a better lock, is better to purchase the steel lock that hold the whole gate bar with a thicker ear.. get more lock..

note: few days ago my neighbour spotted a guy trying to peep around my unit.. when he approches him, he run away using the staircase.. i think is better to have regular patrol around block C before he strike..

We shall wait for the card access system to be implemented before we try out anything. If you are without a card , you would not be able to enter unless you manage to sneak in. There will be a guard on duty and it is also equipped with cctv. In the case of the visitors, you would have to call your host to come down to open the door for you.I think this method is as good as placing a reader at the guardhouse. The residents would have to receive their visitors at the lift lobby. Definitely, there will be a lot of grouses if this procedure is strictly enforced. We shall give a try.

i think this kind of precaution is very useless.why i say so?

1. how can you know who is outsider and who is resident?logged book is just for the worker with working T-shirt,how about outsider that wear normal shirt?if an outsider want to break in to a house, will they wear as an worker?

2. if guards check all the resident ID with every resident everyday,is it cause many problems to that entry?

3. as the software engineer said, there are no relation between logged book and the break in.why mantainence have to do this unnecesary thing?how many efficiency do you get?10% or less than that?is it good to save the money to make the electronic log in system?

4. this system is making the guard become more lazy.they just have to sit there and waiting for the outsider to log in with them.what for you do the thing that decrease the guards job?

anyway,at least the management do something to solve this problem but this is unnecesary thing.do something that have more efficiency.

i was not happy with it at first.. because the pathway is too narrow.. and if there's a bunch of people who need to go out.. the place would be conggested.

But right now.. it seems okay.

Anyhows... Im a resident at Block B. This few days (or should i say pass weeks), i saw few strangers that looked drunk and dangerous lurking around the aprtment. Who can i complain too. Afraid of my apartment's security as break in cases is happening alot lately.

only one narrow path which can go into the prima setapak. i think this is not the good way. if suddenly got a lot of people need to go in the prima, for sure traffic jam will happen.

i also seen if the walker pass the path and need to cross over the road which is the exit from prima. that is very very dangerous for walker especially children.

AND!! if a theif come in, i think he will write his name and ic number. then, after success his 'robbery prject'. he will leave like that only. Because the log book is useless since no one will check the name list in the book.

USELESS MANAGEMENT DEAPRTMENT PRIMA SETAPAK.
