Update on the water crisis
I have a busy day today. The regional manager and his officers from Puas came to our place to carry out an investigation on the disruption of water supply. Our water crisis has become an issue to them bacause it was extensively reported in the vernacular newspaper. I can understand the outbursts from all the residents. I was a victim myself. I also had to carry water all the way up to the 19th floor. I wish to apologize to all the residents should whatever I wrote has offended them. I also wish to offer my apology to all the residents if I have not done enough. The residents must understand that I cannot take a confrontation stand because there are many areas whereby the R.A. needs the co-operation of the management. I am also not trying to defend the management . We try our best to work together to solve the problem.
I was with the Puas people and the management people the whole morning. We checked the storage tanks and noticed that they are all full. This is an indication that the water supply is back to normal. We also checked the water pressure and found that it was at a comfortable level. The Puas people had increased the pressure a little to enable the water to flow smoothly into the storage tanks. There is nothing wrong with our system. The pumps are working well and the pipes are O.K. The water disruption was caused by a temporary drop in water pressure to our condo due to the burst pipe at Jalan Gombak. As to the reason why other condos were not affected, he could not offer us an explanation.
I posed a final question to him. I asked him whether our water crisis is officially considered as solved. He gave all of us an affirmative reply and said Yes. We can put a stop to all forms of speculation now. The important thing is our water crisis is over for now.
My next task would be the card access system that may be installed at Prima.
Goodnight and have a nice day!

2006 final half yr's economy doesn't look good.......
Some of us may need to tighten our belt on spending. This condo ,at this point of time may need to install some device to help to reduce "unauthorise entry " to some group of bad ppl.
Pls study and possible to get some professional advice from residents who is well -verse with this device on quality, cost, after sales service....etc
i just found out from my sister who's staying at block-C that her water tap is out of water - she just left minutes ago after she dropped by at my unit (mine is block-B) for a bath ...
anyone who knows the status care to clarify ??
thanx
fred
We should all appreciate the work done and initiative taken by Mr See to solve the recent crisis , though his "disapperance" caused some frustration among the residents.
A lot of things is done behind the scene , and he is not paid a single cent .How many of us can spare our time to attend to and follow up on the various issue concerning our amenities ?!
How many of us willing to do jobs that may end up with critism and shelling from all corners ?
For those who made a lot of unfounded critism ,I suggest you lead the RA in the next term .
Pls think it over !
Mr See,
Thank you for your hard effort !
Please open up this blog. Or have some way for us to create some discussion issue.
The MAIN reason of the outrages shown by the residents or prima setapak is due to lack of information. As you mention you when back to kampung, so let someone else who know the news to update us.
You saw the notice on the notice board? Saying that water will resume at what time, what time.
Hey, we are educated people, we have no water and we want to know WHY.
If you go to see a doctor, you also wanna know what's your sickness. Not those kind of answer - "Take this medicine and you will be fine".
Hey, we are educated people!
You say you are offended, I feel even more offended when you insult other people and their children also.
If you can't update the residents on time - face it! And delegate this job for those who can.
We want to discuss more issue than those created by you. We have alot more to talk about than the security card.
ya, the management is doing the hard job, blahblah.. But the FACT is, we have no water for 4 days. It's totally unacceptable in city area.
Yes, now we have water back. So what? It's over? We shouldn't be having water outage for 4 days in the first place. Shouldn't !
We need to get compensation from the management.
I feel so sad. We have no water and you are not here (seems like the whole RA only has 1 person). No one is updating us what happen which cause angryness amount the residents.
The first post after you come back to update us is to insult us for not appreciating your hardwork. Who the hell know what you have done. We never know untill you update us !
I don't wanna be typical Malaysian who just get-over-it kind of tidak-apa attitude that our president is demostrating now.
It's over - forget it : by president.
hello all,
first of all, i would like to make a clarification ... i have NO intention of questioning the good job done by mr see all this while (you can see from my previous posting i never use any word which indicate in anyway whatsoever that mr see has done a lousy job) ... UNTIL he posted the post which (sounds like) defended the management and said we were being brought up badly by our parents (which i think is a little bit too much) ...
yes, i admitted he has done a great job taking up this position as president of RA voluntary ...
so, for the anonymous who tried to implied that "well, if you think you are so smart, why don't you become the president and see what you can do" , it sounds "threatening" to me ... are our society so lost that we can't have the right to questions the un-clear/doubts ? are we suppose to be "yes-man" all the time ? are we suppose to smile and sing song-of-praise even if this crisis were to prolong ?
the anonymous claimed we made unfounded criticism, mind you, if you look at my chronology, it's not "un-founded", it's the FACT ... pls accept that ... we don't (i won't) bark for no apparent reason ...
mr see is human as well, he can't be correct 100%, he's not perfect ... all of us are at learning curve (in fact our whole life consists of a journey of learning) ... it might be unfortunate that he balik kampung when this crisis happen (could the situation takes a turn if he's around ?? maybe ... maybe not) ... else maybe the information flow could be a little bit smooth and the tension could be reduced ... but i guess maybe (just my humble suggestion) we need someone as the backup (a vice president) just in case president is not available (just like the president & vice-president system in USA) ...
yes, mr see has done a great job previously (not to mean he did a lousy job for this crisis) and i believe most of us still need someone like him who are willing to do this voluntary un-paid job ... but i believe 2 way-traffic communication of getting feedback thru questions-and-answers will improve solutions, environment and our living standard ... else it'll be dictator-ship ...
i believe mr see volunteer himself bcos he want to see a better and prosperous community via RA as he has seen the worst elsewhere ... i don't think he do this bcos he want to takes credit and show-off (you are not rite ? ;-) ) ...
so, we're not here to terminate mr see, just to see how we can make things better ... if the anonymous can't accept this fact and challenge us to take over if we think we're so good, then i don't see any maturity and basic right exists here ...
thanx
I am not really computer savvy. I really don't know how to creat a forum for my blog. In nowhere in my blog that I mentioned I was offended. I also did not mention that nobody appreciated what I did. I do not wish to be appreciated anyway. I also did not claim that I worked very hard. I was only doing what I should do as a R.A. chairman. Whoever leads the R.A. does not matter much to me. For me, the importance of having a R.A. for any condo matters the most. I only said I was disappointed that some people used words like " chi bai, fucking " in this blog. Don't these words have something to do with family values?
Residents must bear in mind that the R.A. is not the manager of the property here. What Fred said was right, even with me around, problems may not be solved. We can only offer our views, we cannot tell the mangement what to do. As for those notices, they were not issued by the R.A.
I have already offered my apologies. For some residents, they have every right to take legal action against the management but before you do that bear in mind that your own contribution would be utilized to defend any legal action.

' insult us for not appreaciating your hard work ' I feel that this statement is a little misleading. I have never claim to work hard to solve the problem. I don't even know which of my statements is in an insulting manner. If the anonymous felt that he had been insulted, my thousand apologies to him.
As for the comment in Chinese, I really need a translator.
If there is no water supply to your place, your intake point at the meter could be clogged up or there is an air-lock in the pipe. Call up the management for assistance.
As for the comment in Chinese, just delete it, it is irrelevant.....
