Update on CCTV

Although we had made a decision on CCTV, we are still studying the merits of having CCTV. We can't afford to fail because the cost incurred is very high. The committee had looked into many aspects on the installation of CCTV. We had studied the aspects on feasibility, effectiveness , cost incurred, any recurrent cost , vandalism, manpower to operate the system and the maintenance cost. One aspect that all the members agreed is that CCTV will serve as a big deterrence for people who want to commit crimes at Prima. It is still not a fool-proof system . It may not eliminate the act of break-ins but it will definitely reduce them. We may be able to indentify the culprits because their actions would be recorded. We had told the security that should a break-in occurs, they would be held solely responsible. Someone in the monitoring room must be taking a nap.

Tomorrow, the CCTV specialist from UOA will be coming to study our place. The committe
would be having a discussion with him. W e shall look into all aspects before a final decision is made. I would definitely keep you informed over the progress of our discussion. We have nothing to hide. Everything would be made known to the residents.
