Complaints against the commercial centre.
The R.A. made an appointment with a reporter from Nanyang newspaper. We highlighted a a few issues which affect the residents of Prima and Sri Pelangi who are facing the restaurants. The tables and chairs which they are placing on the road are obstructing the traffic. The televisions and the projectors which they placed in front of the shops are considered as illegal extensions under the town council by-laws. The shopowners are not considerate at all. They turn on the volume to the maximun even in wee hours of the morning. Residents who live in the penthouses are affected by the noise too. The reporter took note of our complaints and promise to publish it in the paper soon. They also took a couple of pictures.
We shall leave it to the DBKL enforcement agencies to take some kind of actions.
Goodnight and have a nice day!

enforcement is the main problem, as u say. anyway i am glad that the problem is being highlighted to thet press because i too find the 'cincai' placement of tables and chairs very inconsiderate.it's also dangerous to diners and vehicles. perhaps if more residents complain then something will be done?
btw, why isn't the market complex utilised by the hawkers and restaurant operators? i understand the first flr is meant to be a food court or something?

Hi, what's gonna happen to that piece of land, beside prima setapak? Heard it's for school reserve, izzit true? Better convert it to a recreational park la. Weird enough, no much of any green area. If it's for school, sure jam up the whole area. Any ideas?

We made an application to the DBKL to convert it into a mini-park but it was rejected because that piece of land belongs to the Education department. Someone wanted to rent it and turn it into a hawker centre but was rejected by YB Yew Teong Look. We told him that it would lead to very bad traffic congestion.
