Security
Out of concern for security at Prima , the management has proposed to have a meeting with the R.A. this coming Saturday. In my telephone conversation with the senior manager of Dats Management , she gave me a hint that if the problems of break-in persist, they may have to outsource the security services. I told her that replacing the security is out of question. It will not solve the problem.
I told her that we may have to install CCTV. She was worried about the cost incurred. At least she did not reject my suggestion outright. I need to have a meeting with my committee before a decision is made. I also need to propose to the residents at our A.G.M. for their consent because the sinking fund would have to be utilized for this purpose. Should we decide to install CCTV, we wish to have a system whereby we can track the person from the lift until he reaches his particular unit.
I shall keep you informed of the outcome of our meeting with the management this coming Saturday.
Good night and have a nice day!

I understand a security guard was injured in a recent break-in case .I do not know his exact condition but seem quite bad .Shall we raise some fund for him , perhaps during the AGM ?
looking externally, since this area is known as high-risk area, is there anyway to request police to increase their patrol ? at least it'll makes the crooks think twice ...
as for cctv, how can we ensure the DATS is not sharpening their knives to quietly cut our throat (sinking fund) for the installation ? can our committee play a joint-role in negotiating a better price ? just an idea ...
why would DATS suggested that the security be outsourced ? what'll be the benefits of doing so ? will the security get better ? if yes, then does that mean the current security are not doing their job ?
or are DATS trying to be funny to make more profit (by threatening the out-source idea in hoping for a higher fees) ?
if yes, then i think it's time we think of something as long-term solution ... we can't let DATS squeeze our balls forever, can we ?
anyway, just my opinion ...

on a totally separate matter, looking at the state of daily rubbish at our lift lobbies, i think we should propose to have rubbish bins on each level in all blocks. the minimum would be to have rubbish bins on all parking levels and level 3. this will drasticly reduce the amount of rubbish being thrown around.
raising funds for the injured security guard? yes, I would go along with the idea. It's a freewill thing and even if nothing is agreed during he agm, some kind soul could initiate this? perhaps this blogger of prima himself?
Thanks to David for supporting my idea of contributing to the injured guards .Can Mr See initiate some activities on this ?
Though he might be compensated by socso etc ?
