Inland Security Company

This is the name of the security company appointed to provide security services for Prima. I went to the guard house to take a look how things are doing. The senior guards are still around. I spoke to Mr Tee, the chief of security for UOA. I was told that the newly appointed company will take over the operation completely once the new guards have acquainted themselves with the procedures adopted by the UOA guards. I told him that the guards' present are not felt . We actually need more guards. Every block should have a guard stationed at the ground floor to monitor the card access security system and the visitors. I also told him that visitors who come in by cars should come out of their cars too register themselves at the guard house. They should not be given special privileges to register themselves while sitting in their cars. No condos would adopt the procedure practised by Prima.

I shall elaborate a little on the Inland Security guards. There are ten of them altogether. Eight of them are nepalnese and the other two are locals. Mr Tee assured me that they have a smattering of the Malay language. I told Mr Tee that how can they enforce the rules if they cannot communicate with the residents. I had a bad experience with the present batch of foreign guards at Prima. Their uniforms are similar to those our neignbour, the Sri Pelangi guards. Hopefully, the services rendered are not similar. I do not wish to pre-judge them but from my experience dealing with security companies, I am not very optimistic. These foreign guards are not cheap. They cost very much more than the local guards. I really wish that things turn out to be alright.

I carried out a little survey on the new guards. I spoke to a few too. Some of these guards were fresh from Nepal. They seemed to be lost when I spoke to them. There was this new guard at level three. He was just sitting there watching the world go by. This is the second day he is on duty. I told the old guard to tell him that he needed to move around to see that no residents were breaking any rules. Hopefully, he knows what the rules are. He was just too inexperience. I know that he is hardly the type to be proactive. It looks like we are throwing our money into the drain. To sum it up, we do not expect to get better services from these new guards. I really regret that the UOA guards are leaving. I am going to miss them and the colour of their uniforms. We cannot claim that the difference between Prima and other condos around this area is the security services. We are in the same boat now.

Goodnight and have a nice day!
