Comments on the Comments
I'm happy to note that there are quite a number of comments on the security. It shows that there are residents responding to my blogs. I am getting some constructive feedbacks too.
The cctv that were placed in the lifts are for show only. I believed that they were placed there to deter some of the senseless residents from vandalizing the lifts. Now that the acts of vandalism are negligible, they had been taken off.
A resident proposed that we introduced the access cards for all the residents to enter Prima. I don't think it is feasible for Prima although the idea is a very good one. In the first place, density of tenants for Prima is more than 50%. They move in and out and this may create logistic problems for the management. Secondly, due to the heavy movement of human traffic, congestion will definitely occur and the maintenance of the system will be cause a problem too. I think the card system is only suitable for low density condos whereby most of the units are owners occupied.
Regarding the congestion outside the condos, I agree that it poses a problem fo us . The honey from prima is attracting too many bees from outside. It has become a pick up point for them. I really don't have any ideas how to solve the problem. We can put up a barrier to stop the motorists from parking there. But then, it is a public road, can we do so? Any residents out there who have any ideas?
A resident commented that the guards are paid about RM2000.00 each. I had mentioned from my earlier blog that their real wages range from RM1,000 - RM 1500. The balance, I guess has become part of the so called professional fee for the developer.
I welcome any comments from the residents. Sometimes, we learn from the comments. At least we know whether the residents at prima are happy or not with their environment.
Thank you for the comments.

Block C 18th floor's corridor lighting got some problems. No one go to repair it.. can president ask some body help.? thanks!
i found out many of penthouse are not lock the gate(infront of the lift). For security purpose can you give an suggestion so that our penthouse area gate is always lock?for example ask the guard lock the gate even resedental not lock the gate... this is not just for my own safety but is for penthouse housing area safety. thank you
Can you use the suitable bumper (beside the block A ground floor)? because unsuitable bumper will make the car tyres spoil and try use ur car and pass tru and see?is it "comfortable"? Try first before implement it to our residental. Thank
hello all,
i think this blog is a great (many thanx to the president who started this) avenue for all the residents (owners/tenants) to share their opinion/criticism/suggestion/etc ... as it's hard to get everyone to spare their precious time for a residents' meeting to voice their concerns ... having said that, of course this site is not intended to replace the normal annual association's meeting (i hope) ...
however, the number of surfers coming in to this site are still small (probably not everyone is aware of this blog as it's newly launched) ... i believe one of the reason being that not many people noticed this blog URL at the notice board (which only exists at ground floor) ... accept the fact, most of us are just too lazy to walk out for breakfast/lunch/dinner ... we prefer to drive out, don't we ? hence most of us will obviously miss the notice board ... b'cos our car are normally park above ground floor ... BUT all of us will need to check our letterbox ... so may i suggest that a similar notification of the existence of this blog be posted somewhere at the letter-box level (for each block) ... thus all of us will definately noticed this !!
as for cctv, i still think it's feasible to introduce it inside the lift (due to the reason vandalism has not totally stop) as well as being the reason that maintenance of lifts are one of the most expensive ... furthermore i believe most females will feel safer knowing the cameras are watching (if she is alone with some potential crooks) ... in addition, anybody with bad intention will think twice when the camera is around ... anyway this is just my personal opinion ...
i agreed that acces card for all residents are not that feasible due to the reason stated ... i've been to low density condo (such as mont kiara, ken damansara) where the occupants are just a couple or a family of 4 of which they adopt the security access card to each floor & it has done marvelous ... unfortunately here, we have units which has 8-12 (occupied by students mostly) persons ... pls don't forget the potential maintenance of such cards as some bad-hats are still around (i'm not pin-pointing anyone) with their hobby of "vandalism" ...
i'm not sure if it's possible (legally) to get tow-truck to tow those people who park indiscriminately AND leave their car in the middle of the road un-attended for hours ... if it can be done, then we can put up a sign-board that says "tow-area" ... this will prevent those people from doing so ... and if they really wanna challenge it, then the guard can get tow-truck to give them a surprise ... also, don't forget when the plaza prima setapak & the flats (around out condo) are fully populated, this area will be floated with more people & obviously vehicles ... just a suggestion of mine since we're running out of ideas ...
i believe the batch of guards now are not comparable to the 1st batch who are more friendly and rsponsible ... if you notice (at block B), the guard deployed at the ground floor can speak very little english and none bahasa at all ... i think he's from myanmar or something like that ... i'm not accusing anything but logically he should have been employed with very low wages ... hence the costs charged by DATS should not increase but decrease ... no doubt DATS make profits from their professional services but are they over-charging ? anyone care to check the market rate ? besides DATS, any other better or comparable security services offered in the market which we can approach to get some advices/opinions/charges etc ? ... hey, we can't live and squeezed forever by this DATS, can we ? ... i mean there's no harm even if DATS knows that we're doing our homework of getting info from other security service co as it'll create better accountability, responsibility and transparancy (what the heck, i'm talking like i'm a politician) ... anyway, i think we should get ourselves prepared so that come the date when we finally got our strata title, we have a bigger say (we paid for the maintenance with our hard-earn money, aren't we ?), if you know what i mean ...
well, my apology for my lenghty comment again ...
cheers
fred
I'm glad to see more and more residents responding to this blog . We have to speak out for the good of the everybody since we are staying in such a high traffic condo .Do disseminate this blog to others while you are chi chatting or doing your work out etc.Always remember " Bad idea is better than no idea ! "
The letter box situated at above ground floor Block C are bended upward. It has been so long time nobody repair it. If not, the letter will go missing due to somebody's itchy hand.
I didn't know that it's the president that owns this blog.hehe. I got this url when one of my exhousemate informed me bout it. I guess most student tenant would see the notice if you had post it on the noticeboard as mostly we just walk to practically everywhere. However, as i think most tarcians dont really know what is a blog, they wont bother bout it.
So sending a notice to the residents mailbox will be a great idea if you want the blog to be known. just my 2cent.
Anybody had their letter boxes vandalised ? ours few times aleready. Any comment ?
Mine loh. I've mentioned that my letter box is bended upward. Leave a hole there.
Mine loh. I've mentioned that my letter box is bended upward. Leave a hole there.
those 2 steel bars that have been set up at the block A recently were just not suitable at all to be a road bump .....
The bump is not a suitable one to be put there. On made of cement is much better and cheaper,i suppose. It must be rounded one and not the sharp ones like the present one. It will damage the car tyre and absorber...the idea of putting it there is is excelent, but the material used is not the proper one...please remove it before anything bad happens. Another thing, is the car wash bay materialising....it seem like no....please help mr president...
Looks like block C has some itchy hands for letter boxes. Its been going on for more than 1 yr already. Must try to catch the culprit. but how..........?
