An interesting comment by Evil

I went through her comment and found that it was quite interesting. She is a student. She mentioned that the owners at Prima resented them. I guess, this is a wrong perception. When you look around Prima, who are the ones who are enjoying the facilities at Prima. The tenants of course ,meaning that they enjoy the same rights as the owners here. Their movements have not been restricted.
We can live together in harmony. As tenants, you need to have a sense of belonging to Prima. You need to behave like the owners do. Do not treat this place like hostels. Most of the owners are working people. After a hard day work in the office, when they are home, they would like to seek peace and a quiet atmosphere. We know that the tenants are young and energetic. They tend to talk loudly along the corridor, in the lifts and as a matter of fact everywhere. They are also very passionate when they are in love. They hug each other everywhere. Sometimes, it can be quite embarrassing staring at the passionate young loving couple. The tenants also need very little sleep. They hardly sleep as matter of fact. So, when the owners are sleeping, the sound of dragging chairs, heavy footsteps and laughter may wake them up. Sometimes, when they get excited, they may run in the aparment. And some may even be bouncing balls in the apartment. All these may cause a little resentment against the tenants.
As for the owners, if you have problems with your neighbours who are tenants, I think the best approach that you should take is to talk to them. They may not be aware that they have caused a little inconvenience to you. Let them know that you respect them as tenants. We are not in the position to choose the kind of tenants we want for Prima. Therefore , whether you like it or not we have to live together. I am surrounded by tenants. For me , it's a blessing in disguise. My degree of tolerance has gone up. I have learnt to be more patient. I learned not be obsessive with noise. One think I learnt is that if you are too obsessive with noise, you tend to hear noises. Show some restraints and everything will be fine.
I am sure that this post would receive many comments from the tenants. As for the tenants , if you are in a way offended by this blog, I would like to apologize in anticipation.
Good night and have a nice day.

Interesting comments by Eve. While I dont resent any one student in particular, we all must admit that some of the students do take their stay in Prima Setapak as granted, and they can do as they wish while staying here.

Some very disturbing behaviours i have seen, and encountered are as such:

1) Dumping rubbish from the balcony. Admittedly that owners may do the same, but i have had cigarette butts blown onto my clothes many times.

2) Crossing the driveway from the guardhouse to block A lift lobby nonchalantly, without care nor haste to the cars turning in and out. While the road is meant to be shared, pls cross the road quickly in the presence of cars waiting to use the same piece of road. I have had young punks giving me the stare-of-death just because I honked at them to move faster.

3) Getting their friends to park as they wish along the main road just outside the guardhouse. As this may be our govt's property, it just wont hurt for the tenants to inform their friends to park further and not block the roads from owners trying to enter the condo premises.

But I will be the first to say this too, most of the student tenants we have are very well behaved. They mind their own business, and keep to their selves. Its just some of the bad hats giving the students a bad name. However, in order to maintain a peaceful living enviroment, we all (students and owners alike) should play an active role in keeping the sanctity of Prima Setapak.

Dont mean to offend any party in my 1st post. Thnx for listening.

I'm glad that my comment has not been ignored.

"She mentioned that the owners at Prima resented them."
I said most.

I'm here not to point a finger at anyone. Just to my 2cent worth from a student view. As i mentioned before, this is a good blog. Block A resident Evil had highlighted a few points that he/she is not very happy. That can be brought up on the committee meeting so that notice can be put up. Maybe that will help?

That's all for now. Thanks.

ps: I'm EVE not Evil. I'm a sweet girl not evil who likes to voice out. hehe.

Yeah ... I get all these noises too but sad thing is i cannot determine which is the exact unit making all these noises but definitely it is coming from above my unit.

We just wish that the tenants be a bit more considerate especially during late nites and early morning not to make sure much noise. We need to sleep to wake up early for school and work.

hello all,

in my humble opinion, not all the students are mis-behave but there're a handful of them who give the bad-names to ALL the students here ... i'm glad the students around my level are mostly well-behave ...

some of these bad-apples are simply breaking the rules (letting off firecrackers in the middle of the night, throwing rubbish anywhere they like etc) just to get attention as if he/she is the hero (specially those staying in a unit with mixture of males/females) of the block ... a normal behaviour of teenagers but creating tons of incovenience to other tenants/owners ...

well, if all the students behave, why would we single out students as the bad-guys ?

anyway i think to reduce this, maybe a good tenant (would that be you eve ?) can advise his/her comrade of house-mates to behave when they "mis-behave" ... then everyone can live happily ...

i believe the incident years ago of which the students (of a particular block) who went to the extend of un-controllable state and police were being called in to help calm the situation is a good example how dis-harmony can be created if everyone takes thing for granted ...

one of this day, the same students might eventually own a condo of their own ... how would you feel if some of your neighborhood consists of mis-behave students who create havoc ?

hopefully everyone can live harmony with each other ...

cheers
fred
